Over the past 19 years, I’ve been on quite a property journey! It started with my first — a 12-hectare lifestyle block near Christchurch—then moved to two properties in Tauranga and now my current home, a large home with a self-contained wing. Given this has rental income potential our initial bank treated it like an investment property and at the time we needed to have 40% deposit.
None of these purchases were easy. I was always pushing the limits of what banks would lend me, often hearing, “No, you can’t do that.” I would then have to start over with a new bank until I found one that got where I was coming from.
It was stressful, but it taught me a lot about persistence and finding creative solutions—skills I now use to help others, whether you’re a first-home buyer, a property investor, or self-employed.
Before COVID, my wife and I ran a wholesale import business and a retail store, which we sold in 2019. I also spent seven years as a business consultant, helping small businesses thrive. After COVID, I was ready for a change but still wanted to help people, which led me to mortgage advising. After meeting an adviser at a networking event, I realized it was the perfect fit.
Now, I use my experience to take the stress out of the process for my clients. Whether it’s your first home, a growing property portfolio, or navigating lending as a business owner, I’ll match you with a lender that understands your situation—no more running in circles or wasting time.
I’m here for the long haul. My goal isn’t just to get you approved but to support you throughout your financial journey — whether it’s buying your next home, expanding your investments, or navigating big life changes.
I like to keep things real with my clients. If you feel like I’m not the right fit, that’s okay — I wish you all the best!
But if you’re looking for someone to guide you long-term, I’d love to be your go-to adviser.
